As discussed in my recent article entitled, "What is an LLM EcoSystem?", there is current an LLM/SLM API war going on where vendors try to grab as much "API turf" as they can by rapidly adding new features to the LLM EcoSystem.
This makes it a nightmare for developers trying to navigate this space. Thus, to attempt to solve the problem, I have launched a new open source project on github called the XLM-ECO-API.
XLM stands for Cross-Language Model and Cross-Programming Language.
EcoSystem refers to the full suite of EcoSystem services as described in my previous article.
The github site contains the documentation for the initial base implementation. What is currently there is just a basic implementation but it is enough to understand the direction of the project and test out the basic functionality. The "Feature" section of the github site lays out many planned features for the project.
If you are a developer and are interested in joining the project, you can join the project via github.
I look forward to working with the programming community on this exciting new project!
