Today, I was selected to be the Technical lead of a working group because of my "doggedness" in solving problems. That reminded me of what a co-worker of mine (Roger Smith) called me over 10 years ago. Roger said that I was like a pitbull when solving a problem in that I never gave up.
I am flattered by the nice words and hope I can live up to them. I do have a passion for problems. When I started my own business in Virginia I tacked a small slip of paper to the bookshelf hutch in front of my desk that read, "Solve the Problem!".
I'll let you know whether the working group succeeds ...
