Here are some of the more interesting awards I have received over the years and the stories behind them. Note: some of these images are not clear enough ... I will have to redo them when I have time).
Anyway, the awards are:
- Letter of Commendation from Jeff Zients, Deputy Director of OMB and point man to fix the Healthcare.gov website.
- Genius Award from Fannie Mae.
- Letter of Commendation from President George Bush for assisting in the development of Executive Order 13356.
- Award from the Federal CIO Council for completion of the Data Reference Model.
- Award from DHS CIO for my work on NIEM and the Metadata Center of Excellence.
- Award for Interoperability from Congressman Tom Davis.
- Award from the Department of Justice (rarely done since I worked for DHS) on my work on the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM).
- Award from Writers Digest for a Short Story (yes, I know a different category here but I am proud of this as I would eventually like to do more fiction writing!). 73 out of 19,000 is not bad!
- Other awards for my work in Information Management.
